Extended Data Option 1 - TRB Ratings

Providing your choice of race data for all Australian TAB meetings or all Australian TAB meetings at Metropolitan Tracks only, plus a range of TRB's proven specialist Form, Weight and Time based Ratings, Morning Line prices and additional form analysis filters. This package best suits the form analyst or the person wanting to increase the accuracy of probabilities

The following Ratings are fully configurable using the special Setup Ratings dialog box. This dialog, pictured in part on the left, allows the user to set individual percentages to be used when collating the different values.

Early Odds Prices,
Trakline Ratings,
Trakform Ratings,
Formline Ratings,
Combined Ratings, and
SP Ratings.

Early Odds Prices are specially prepared each morning and downloaded automatically with the races files. GTX calculates the total market percentage and, unlike the newspaper version, adjusts for scratchings to retain the original market percentage. The Early odds are colour coded within each rating in varying degrees of overlays or underlays, in the same colours as those used for displaying the different track conditions, to enable you to easily recognise the value bets at a glance.

Trakline Ratings are a form based and time influenced Rating calculated post race by an artificial Neural Network. Ratings are expressed in points generally within range 0 – 70 points. Each point equates with 1/10 second, or 0.65 lengths, depending on distance.

Trakform Ratings Pure Time based Rating derived by a process of comparison of each horse’s runs against a standard for each track and distance adjusted for track variant

Formline Ratings are Weight/Class Ratings derived from post race analysis by expert form handicapper Marcel Plante. Ratings expressed in kilograms generally within range 10 – 70 kilograms.

Our expert form handicapper studies the result of each race taking into consideration stewards reports, track conditions, public expectations and many other variables. He considers the race as an event and assigns a Class Value (also known as Field Strength) rating to the event. He also considers individual horse situations, luck in running etc. and assigns indicators against individual horses' ratings where necessary in the form of asterisks (***) indicating an expected improvement. Each * has a value of 1.5kg which is factored into the ratings for a future event.

Where a horse performs poorly when compared with expectation or is negatively effected by conditions that clearly did not suit such as a stayer racing at a sprint distance a plus sign (+) is assigned. Under the correct circumstances this is factored into the ratings and carries a weighting of 6kgs.

A number of bonuses and penalties are automatically assigned by WinlineGTX according to set parameters.

All

Apprentice jockey allowance

Jpen

Jockey Ability as measured from time to time using most recent 100 mounts under 10/1 where less than 10 lengths from the winner

Bpen

Barrier Penalty

Cons

Consistency Bonus is based on the consistency of each horse in relation to proximity to the winner in Last 10 starts weighted by value of race prizemoney.

ADE

Acceleration/Deceleration effect is a measurement exclusive to The Rating Bureau based on the dynamics of relative weight/distance relationships

Other

As mentioned above the asterisks and plus signs are factored into the rating. Other adjustments relative to distance and timing are made to balance the ratings

These factors are added to or subtracted from the base rating. Finally, the weight over the limit weight (lowest allocated weight) is added to the base rating resulting in a Net Rating. The net rating for each horse is then compared to the net rating for the other competitors in that race to create the required odds also known as Rem Plante Ratings..

Combined Ratings (user definable) Rating derived by the combination of the values of two or more of the above ratings in user specified percentage weightings. Possibilities range from combining two rating methods in a 50/50 or other percentage, to using all four of the currently available ratings in any percentages, for example 35/35/15/15.

SP Ratings useful for post race analysis

Both of the Extended Data Options come with full 16 run SmartForm™ offering the best insight possible into each horse's true performance capability, with 45 different fields available to choose from.
